HYDRAULIC TECHNICIAN / FITTER / MOBILE PLANT MECHANIC
Global Hydraulic Services is a manufacturer and supplier of hydraulic components and systems developed to customer requirements supported by both workshop and field servicing and installation activities.
Located in Forrestdale, we service the mining, earthmoving, construction, manufacturing, maritime and similar industries.
We are seeking a new team member who is suitably qualified and experienced in hydraulics, who is a motivated person with good mechanical aptitude with a desire to further their career.
Jobs will be undertaken in our Forrestdale workshop and onsite in the Perth metropolitan area and in regional Western Australia.
A full-time job opportunity is available (after a probationary period) in a clean and safe workshop with an attractive rate of pay depending on skills and experience.

The Hydraulic team member will be required to be able to undertake a diverse range of duties, including:
Diagnose, service, and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, hoses, and related components
Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on mobile and industrial hydraulic equipment
Conduct fault-finding, testing, and calibration
Fabricate and replace hydraulic hoses and fittings
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals
Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards




Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams as needed
Trade qualification in hydraulics, mechanical engineering, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years experience working with hydraulic systems
Strong knowledge of hydraulic components and diagnostic procedures
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Valid Australian driver's licence
(Optional) High Risk licence or Forklift ticket (advantageous)
(Optional) Experience with mining, agriculture, construction, or heavy machinery sectors
Consideration will be given to applicants with the following:
Good oral communication and customer service skills and an ability to build a good working relationship with customers.
Understanding of OHS & Safe Work Practices.
Be able to work unsupervised, have a positive work ethic and take pride in their work.
