Full Time Painter - Rydges Sydney Central

Responsibilities
This role ensures that all guest areas, back‐of‐house spaces, and exterior surfaces are well‐maintained, visually appealing, and in line with brand standards.
Complete painting and maintenance tasks in line with the Work Request System, Preventative Maintenance Program, and supervisor direction.
Perform touch‐ups and repainting work in guest rooms, public areas, and back‐of‐house spaces, anticipating and attending to guest needs with minimal disruption.
Inspect hotel areas regularly and respond promptly to defects, repairs, and guest or inter‐departmental requests, following up with appropriate tradespersons or management where required.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition, continue developing knowledge of maintenance systems, and ensure proper use and care of all operating equipment.
Work collaboratively with the maintenance team, maintain positive working relationships, attend meetings, assist other departments when required, and perform any additional duties as directed by management.
Qualifications




Previous experience as a Painter or Handyperson in general maintenance or a similar role.
Strong problem‐solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a guest‐focused approach to service.
Familiarity with basic repair techniques across carpentry and plumbing (advantageous).
Ability to follow safety procedures and WH&S; guidelines.
Comfortable using maintenance systems and logging work accurately.
Physically fit and able to respond quickly to requests across the hotel.
Flexible availability, including rotating shifts and weekends.
