Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Refrigeration Technician's role is to conduct installations, repairs and preventative maintenance of marine refrigeration systems.
More specifically:
Read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics
Conduct pressure testing, evacuate, and charge refrigeration systems
Install refrigeration piping and equipment
Problem solve,



dismantle and repair malfunctioning refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment
Field running, testing, and commissioning of completed refrigeration systems
Test, repair and connect wiring to electric power source within electrical license restrictions
Remain abreast of technological advances within refrigeration
Provide support in non-refrigeration tasks within capabilities
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate shall possess:
Air-conditioning and refrigeration mechanical trade certificate
Restricted WA C Class electrical endorsement
Min 3-5 years' experience of marine and commercial refrigeration systems
Advanced mechanical aptitude
Full ARCtick Fluorocarbon Refrigerant Handling license
Self-motivation and enthusiasm

$50 - $60 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
