Hays is currently recruiting for a Project Support Officer to join a State Government team supporting the delivery of learning and development initiatives, training programs, graduate recruitment activities, and organisational development projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys coordinating multiple activities, supporting projects, and being involved in the delivery of workshops, events, and training programs.
Your new role
Working within a collaborative Organisational Development team, you will provide administrative and project support across a range of learning, training, and recruitment activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing administrative support for learning and development programs and projects
Coordinating training courses, workshops, inductions, and related activities
Managing participant enrolments, attendance records, registers, and tracking tools
Assisting with graduate recruitment activities, including applicant communications, interview scheduling, and assessment coordination
Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and learning-related information
Preparing routine reports and basic training participation statistics
Supporting learning management system quality assurance and testing activities
Coordinating meeting rooms, workshop venues, participant access, and event logistics
Assisting with stakeholder communications, surveys, and training-related enquiries
Organising meetings, preparing documentation,
and coordinating follow-up actions
Maintaining team calendars, registers, and business support documentation
Supporting project activities and other administrative tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
Previous experience in an administrative, project support, learning and development, or coordination role
Robust organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
Experience preparing reports, maintaining databases, and tracking information
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and provide professional stakeholder support
Intermediate to advanced skills across Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
Experience coordinating workshops, events, training sessions, or similar activities
Highly regarded:
Experience supporting learning and development functions
Exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Previous State Government experience
