About The Role
Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Registered Nurse to join the team at Barraba Multipurpose Service.

Barraba Multipurpose Service Is a Small Rural Healthcare Facility Within Hunter New England Local Health District, Providing Integrated Healthcare Services To The Local Community.
Services Include:
Acute inpatient careEmergency careResidential aged careCommunity health services
The facility offers a supportive and collaborative workplace culture where staff are valued and encouraged to develop professionally while delivering essential healthcare services to the residents of Barraba and surrounding communities.
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care across acute care, emergency presentations, residential aged care, and community health services.
You will play an integral role in supporting patients, residents, and families while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plansAdminister medications and treatments safely and effectively in accordance with NSW Health policies and clinical standardsRespond appropriately to clinical deterioration and emergency situationsProvide compassionate, person-centred care to patients, residents, and their familiesMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and electronic health recordsWork collaboratively with medical, allied health, and support staff within a multidisciplinary teamSupervise and support Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) where appropriateParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation activitiesPromote the values, standards,



and professional expectations of NSW Health and HNELHDDemonstrate adaptability and autonomy while working in a rural healthcare setting
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRAStrong clinical assessment and decision-making skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvementFlexibility and adaptability in a rural healthcare environmentSound knowledge of infection prevention, medication safety, and clinical documentation standards

Additional Information:
* Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract.
All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract,



including any approved extensions.
If your contract ends before the agreed completion date, you may be required to repay a portion of the incentive.
