About this
opportunity
As a Social Worker with WA
Country Health Service, you will plan, coordinate, and provide a
social work service to diverse caseloads of inpatient, outpatient
and/or community clients.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary
team and have the opportunity to develop broad clinical and
professional skills.

information to note:
This is a Recruitment Pool
for Permanent Full Time/Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time/Part Time,
and Casual appointments, with the possibility of extension(s)
and/or permanency.
The
panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and
will assess on a regular basis throughout the life of the
pool.
Applicants will have the
opportunity to indicate their preferred locations and
availability for positions.
Applications will
undergo an initial assessment of qualifications, experience and
suitability for inclusion in the recruitment pool.
Referees
will be contacted as part of the assessment
process.
Interviews will not be
conducted as part of the recruitment process, but applicants
may be contacted if additional information is
required.
Applicants assessed as
suitable will be placed in a recruitment pool for current and
future vacancies across all WACHS sites.
However, inclusion in
the pool does not guarantee an offer of employment.
When
vacancies arise, further assessment may be undertaken to
determine suitability for appointment to a
position.
Appointments may be made
from this pool until 30/06/2027.
Suitability
Criteria:
Suitability recognises that
a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills,
knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant
operational requirements.
The suitability requirements below are




derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be
assessed to determine your suitability for the role.
Applicants should address
the following criteria in no more than 3 pages:
Provide
a detailed clinical example demonstrating your knowledge and
experience in social work assessment, treatment and evaluation
relevant to a rural or remote health setting.
Outline
your skills and experience working effectively and
collaboratively with patients/consumers, colleagues and
multidisciplinary team members in a clinical
setting.
Provide
examples of strategies you use to manage time and clinical
caseload within workplace standards and
procedures.
Provide
the names and contact details of two (2) recent professional
referees, with at least one being a current or recent
supervisor.
Other essential
requirements
Evidence
of a tertiary qualification in Social Work and evidence or
eligibility for full membership of the Australia Association of
Social Workers (AASW).
For final year Social Work students,
evidence of your enrolment in the final semester of
university.
Availability to commence
employment within the pool validity period (before 30 June
****).
