DME Engineering Services Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan and deliver mechanical maintenance, shutdown and project work for major industrial clients in the Tumut region.
Based locally in Tumut, you will manage projects from initial scope and planning through to execution, handover and close-out.
You will work closely with client representatives, site supervisors, tradespeople and DME's wider engineering and support team to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

The Prospect
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of industrial maintenance and mechanical projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing projects from initial scope and planning through to completion and handover
Developing project schedules, budgets, labour plans and material requirements
Coordinating supervisors, tradespeople, subcontractors and suppliers
Liaising with client representatives, operations personnel and relevant stakeholders
Monitoring project costs, progress, quality and delivery timeframes
Managing changes in scope, variations and emerging project issues
Ensuring project work complies with safety, quality and client requirements
Maintaining accurate project records, progress reports and close-out documentation
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:
A recognised mechanical trade, engineering, construction management or relevant project management qualification
Previous experience managing industrial maintenance,



shutdown or mechanical projects
Solid planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource coordination skills
Experience managing project scope, costs, variations and delivery timeframes
The ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and respond effectively to changing priorities
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills
A professional and practical approach when dealing with clients and site personnel
A sound understanding of industrial safety systems, permits, isolations and risk management
A strong commitment to safety, quality and successful project delivery
Experience within the pulp and paper industry or a similar heavy industrial environment will be highly regarded.
This position may also suit an experienced Site Supervisor or Project Coordinator who is ready to take the next step into a formal Project Manager role.

$**** sign-on bonus — *$2,000 upfront and the balance following successful completion of probation
