Peer Recovery Worker - Community Living Support (CLS)Coffs Harbour
At Wellways, we believe recovery is possible for everyone.
As a Peer Recovery Worker, you will draw on your own lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery to inspire hope, build meaningful connections, and support people to achieve their goals.
Working within our Community Living Support (CLS) program, you'll provide practical, person-led support that helps people strengthen their independence, develop recent skills, connect with their community and build the supports that sustain their wellbeing.
Full time and Part-time opportunities available
About the Opportunity
As a Peer Recovery Worker, you will walk alongside participants as they identify their strengths, aspirations and goals.
You will provide practical, hands-on support that assists people to build confidence, develop self-management skills and connect with their communities.
Working as part of an integrated team,



you will help ensure participants receive consistent, high-quality support while maintaining accurate records and documentation that contribute to positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Use your lived experience to engage, empower and support people on their recovery journey
Provide practical, strengths-based support tailored to individual goals and needs
Facilitate peer learning programs and promote hope, recovery and self-determination
Work collaboratively with participants, families, communities and partner services
Maintain accurate participant records, recovery plans and program documentation
About You
You will be passionate about supporting people experiencing mental health challenges and committed to person-led, recovery-focused practice.
Provide practical, strengths-based support tailored to individual goals and needs and facilitate programs and promote hope, recovery and self-determination.
You will work collaboratively with participants, families, communities and partner services.
You will also need:
Completion of the Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Peer Work or Certificate 4 in Community Services,



or be enrolled in and actively working toward completing one of these qualifications
100 points of identification
Evidence of right to work in Australia
Drivers Licence
National Police Check
International Police (if required)
Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
NDIS Workers Orientation Modules - free online course
