$80,009 base salary p.a. + overtime + allowances + superannuation + benefits

We are now seeking a Programs Officer, who will play a pivotal role in creating and delivering fun psychosocial and recreational experiences to young people impacted by cancer.

Base Salary + Superannuation + Not-For-Profit Salary Packaging (up to $18,550 of your salary tax-free).
5 Weeks Annual Leave (FTE) + 17.5% leave loading + pay during our annual office closure week.

About our role
Design, plan and facilitate fun and engaging one-day/multi-day events and peer connection experiences for young people aged ***** impacted by cancer.
Act as the key worker/regular contact person for *****-year-olds accessing Canteen programs
Facilitate the state based Youth Leadership Program
Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to mitigate risk and ensure young people meet their psychosocial and peer support goals
Expand and grow Canteen's reach to young people and families impacted by cancer by establishing and maintaining referral relationships with external organisations.




Conduct risk analysis of planned activities in line with Canteen's risk management guidelines
About You
Tertiary qualification in social work, youth work, education, a creative/arts discipline, allied health, or related fields is highly regarded
Skilled at group facilitation and experience engaging with young people ****** year-olds)
Creative thinker with an adventurous streak
Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
Warm, compassionate, and strengths-based approach to supporting young people
Certified in First Aid, Suicide prevention training, Mental Health First Aid, (or willing to rapidly obtain)
Current drivers licence
A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on recent challenges.

Employment Expectations
To ensure an ongoing commitment to the success of Canteen, all applications must be able to:
Successfully complete and maintain a current National Police Check and Working with Child Check relevant to the individual's state jurisdiction.
Undergo an extensive screening process prior to appointment to guarantee the safety of all Canteen's stakeholders.
Provide at least two direct referees to ensure a successful reference check is completed.
Provide relevant copies of professional qualification/s stated on the application.
