The Child and Family (CaF) Counsellor provides therapeutic counselling and family support that strengthens the safety, wellbeing and healthy development of children and young people.
Working with children and young people aged 0–17, parents, carers and whole families,
the role supports families experiencing a broad range of complex relationship, parenting and social challenges.
The CaF Counsellor delivers child-centred, trauma-informed and developmentally responsive interventions to address issues including family and domestic violence, mental health concerns, substance misuse, problem gambling, childhood trauma, abuse and neglect.
The role focuses on strengthening parenting and carer capacity, promoting secure and nurturing relationships, enhancing children's developmental outcomes, and supporting families to build resilience and sustain positive change.
