Clerk Grade *****, salary ranges from $149,739 to $173,174 + super
The Development Coordination Authority (DCA) has been established to strengthen how NSW Government agencies work together within the development assessment system.
Acting as a central coordination point for agency advice, the Authority will streamline referral processes, resolve issues earlier and deliver clearer, more consistent input to consent authorities—supporting faster, better-informed planning outcomes across NSW.
Joining the DCA presents a unique opportunity to help shape and embed a new operating model for planning coordination, contributing directly to system reform and the delivery of housing, infrastructure and sustainable communities across the State.
The role
You'll play a hands-on role supporting the Executive Director and Leadership Team.
Acting as a trusted link between stakeholders, strategy and day‐to‐day delivery.
The role focuses on keeping things moving—coordinating priorities, providing clear strategic advice, and making sure communication, reporting and executive processes run smoothly to support the Authority's objectives.
You'll juggle complex and often time‐critical work, responding to shifting priorities, managing sensitive issues with discretion, and pulling together information from multiple sources to help leaders make informed decisions.
From overseeing reporting, audits and business planning to improving systems and administrative practices,



you'll help ensure the organisation delivers outcomes efficiently while meeting statutory obligations.With the Development Coordination Authority in its formative phase, this role will play a critical part in overseeing and enabling the successful implementation of organisational effectiveness programs.

What you will bring to the role
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise advice, reports and briefings for senior leaders and diverse stakeholders.
Strong problem‐solving and analytical capabilities, with proven ability to navigate complex, sensitive issues and provide sound, practical solutions in dynamic environments.
Exceptional organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy across high‐volume workloads.
Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated experience building trusted relationships, coordinating inputs, and driving outcomes through collaboration and influence.
What is an essential requirement:
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent experience
Eligibility –Eligible employees are required to be at-grade or at an equivalent level; and either ongoing public service employees or fixed term employees who have been comparatively assessed at-grade in your current role.
