Experience with food handling and sanitation regulations is recommended.
Candidates should be able to display basic kitchen understanding, including knife skills and food preparation, following recipes, stock rotation, working within a team environment and assembling a high volume of meals within a timely fashion.
Creativity and input are also recommended to help contribute towards the daily specials menu.
Skills required:
Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (Essential)
Two years experience or more working in a commercial kitchen
Adequate understanding of HACCP and safety practices
Passion for producing quality dishes in a timely manner
Excellence in working under high-pressure situations, communication and time management
Ability to work in a team environment
