The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field Mechanic to join our team and support the maintenance and reliability of our growing fleet.
Based out of our Gnangara Workshop, this hands-on role involves carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse range of civil, asphalt, and road profiling equipment.
Working from a fully equipped service truck, you will provide breakdown support and maintenance services across metropolitan and regional Western Australia, including short and long-term site deployments as required.
The successful candidate will work both independently and alongside our workshop team to ensure plant and equipment remain safe, compliant, reliable, and operational.
This role is ideally suited to a self-motivated mechanic who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and the flexibility of both field and workshop-based work.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis on earthmoving plant and heavy vehicles
· Diagnose faults and complete timely breakdown repairs




· Conduct safety and operational inspections and record maintenance work
· Respond to service requests and emergency breakdowns on site
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
· Comply with company policies, safety procedures and industry regulations
Requirements
· Unrestricted Australian working rights
· Trade qualification (mechanic/fitters) with a clean safety record with a minimum 5 years' field/mechanic experience
· HR licence and White Card
· Pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
· Willingness to undertake regional and overnight work as required
Desired Skills
· Solid technical knowledge of civil and asphalt equipment listed above
· Effective fault-finding and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a team
· Good communication skills and physical stamina for manual tasks
