This is a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 4, ****
East Wanneroo Primary School is an independent public school located in the northern suburbs of Perth.
Nestled amongst gum trees and extensive, native flora, the school provides a beautiful, natural setting for local families, it has a country feel in a city setting.
We pride ourselves on being a family orientated school and with around 350 students, our staff get to know every child and their family.
Our school provides a range of educational opportunities and experiences for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

The Role
The Library Officer administers the library systems ensuring library records are up to date and library and school resources are maintained and processed so they are always accessible and available to students and staff.
The successful applicant will ideally be a lover of books who is able to inspire students with a love of reading, create a welcoming atmosphere in the library and collaborate with other staff to promote reading throughout the school.
Experience with the following practices, systems and programs would be beneficial.
Oliver Library Management System
Literacy Pro – maintaining resources and setting up student subscriptions
Student Subscription Management – Mathletics and ACER
Stocktaking processes

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills, including application of customer service principles and practices.
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to use computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spread sheets and word processing.
Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
