Multicultural Services Centre (MSC) is an established provider of diverse community services to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) Western Australians.
The Centre has been providing a range of programs and services to migrants and refugees for about four decades.

About the Opportunity
As an integral part of MSC's multidisciplinary allied health team, the Physiotherapist / Occupational Therapist will support consumers within MSC's Support At Home (SAH) and Disability Services Program.
The role focuses on improving independence, safety, and overall wellbeing of clients through evidence-based, person-centred, and rabblement-focused interventions.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients, families, and other health professionals to deliver high-quality therapeutic supports that enable individuals to achieve their personal goals and improve participation in daily life.
This is two separate casual position for a PT and OT.

Key Skills and Responsibilities
Physiotherapy Responsibilities:
Deliver holistic, person-centred and evidence-based physiotherapy services tailored to individual needs
Conduct comprehensive assessments and identify mobility, functional, and rehabilitation needs.
Prescribe mobility aids and equipment and recommend assistive technology and ensure correct fit and secure use
Develop individual exercise programs and create and implement personalised mobility and strengthening plans
Facilitate group-based exercise, rehabilitation,
and wellness programs.
Support participants to improve mobility, independence, function, and quality of life.
Monitor progress and regularly review treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with participants, families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation and records.
Respond promptly to participant enquiries, concerns, and clinical issues.
Identify and manage clinical risks and promote participant safety.
Contribute to quality improvement activities, service evaluation, and ongoing development of physiotherapy services.
Practice in accordance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and relevant legislation.
Occupational Therapy Responsibilities:
Conduct functional assessments of clients in home, community, and workplace environment
Assess participants' ability to perform daily living, self-care, work, and community activities.
Develop individualized intervention plans to enhance independence, safety, and quality of life.
Support participants to achieve their personal goals and maximize functional capacity.
Recommend home, workplace, and environmental modifications to improve accessibility and safety.
Provide education, strategies, and therapeutic exercises to support participation in everyday activities.
Assess, recommend, and facilitate the use of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
Train participants, families, carers, and support workers in the safe use of equipment and strategies.
Monitor progress and review intervention plans to ensure goals are being achieved.
Collaborate with families, carers, support coordinators, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate, timely,
and confidential clinical documentation.
Promote participant choice, dignity, independence, and person-centred care.
Respond to participant concerns and provide professional advice in a timely manner.
Practice in accordance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and relevant legislation.
Compliance and Quality Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, community organisations, and relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Represent and promote the MSC MAHAN team, collaborating effectively across services to support coordinated care delivery.
Support and participate in internal audits, evaluations, external reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify, report, and escalate risks, incidents, complaints, and practice concerns in a timely manner, in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Contribute to the provision of a safe working environment and actively promote culturally safe, person-centred practices in all aspects of care
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential Criteria:

Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy OR Occupational Therapy
Current AHPRA registration (Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist Board)
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills
Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Experience working in community or disability services (preferred)
Strong computer literacy (MS Office and clinical systems)
Desirable:
Experience working with NDIS and Support At Home clients
Experience in community-based rehabilitation
Fluency in a language other than English
Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities
Pre-requisites
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
NDIS Clearance Certificate
Right to work in Australia
First Aid Certificate
