We're seeking a talented Leading Hand / Operator to help us ensure the efficient and safe operation of machinery, plant, and equipment.
This position offers a minimum 45 hours per week, primarily located within Perth Metro or remote locations in WA.
The role is designed to be a civil support function that supplements the other activities and projects the business is delivering.
It is diverse in nature and covers most elements of Civil from footings, footpaths, asphalt repairs, some carpentry repairs, carpark formation, hardstands, repairs to jetties & wharfs.

Key Responsibilities:
Work in a small team carrying out a diverse range of civil works.
Support maintenance and civil construction activities.
Undertake manual labour eg.
digging, non-operator tasks.
Willing to do 50% machine operation works and 50% hand works.
Mentor and guide trades/ trade assistants.
Ability to lead a team from the front with high standards.
Ability to run a small crew when site supervisor is not on site.
Ability to use CRM system to complete inspections and operation of equipment and machinery on site.
Operate and maintain presentation of all company plant & equipment to a high standard.




Ability to operate confidently:
Skid Steer with a range of attachments
Excavators 1.5t – 30 t
6-Wheel Tippers
Ability to load equipment and transport equipment.
Set up machinery and ensure all materials are readily available.
Cleaning, lubricating, servicing, and refueling machinery.
Communicate courteously to members of the public and clients at all times.
Operate hand and power tools.
Prepare and clean worksites.
Essential Qualifications / Skills:
National Police Clearance (must be provided prior to onboarding)
MR License with reliable transport.
Skid Steer Loader Ticket
Excavator Ticket.
White Card.
Essential Experience:
Experience as a Leading Hand / Plant Operator.
Previous Civil experience is required.
Desirable Qualifications / Skills:
HC or HR Licence preferred but not essential.
Organisation and scheduling
Essential Candidate Attributes:
Ability to pass pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screening.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
A passion for innovation and improving the client's experience.
Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate clients.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
