The Town is seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced Coordinator Governance and Risk to join our skilled team in a full-time capacity.

Your new roleYou will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and specialist governance advice.Our ideal candidate will haveDemonstrated experience in governance, risk management, compliance, and policy development.Strong knowledge of Local Government legislation and statutory compliance requirements.Experience providing governance advice to senior leaders, Council, Committees,
or executive stakeholders.Proven ability to manage risk frameworks, compliance programs, and internal audit activities.Highly developed written communication skills, including preparation of reports, agendas, minutes, and policies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and apply legislation and regulatory requirements.Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising, coaching, and developing staff.Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and build trust.Tertiary qualification in management, law or political science would be desirable.
