About the RoleSSquare Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior SAS Administrator Infrastructure Engineer to support critical SAS infrastructure platforms that underpin enterprise data analytics capabilities for Services Australia and the Department of Social Services.
You will be responsible for administering, maintaining and enhancing enterprise SAS environments, ensuring platform stability, performance, security and availability while supporting business-critical analytics services.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support SAS Viya and SAS Visual Enterprise Analytics (SAS VEA) platforms.Manage enterprise SAS infrastructure across production and non-production environments.Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and system issues.Plan, test and implement security patches, upgrades and system enhancements.Monitor platform health, availability, capacity and performance.Support disaster recovery planning and infrastructure resilience.Develop scripts to automate infrastructure administration and deployments.Produce technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate with infrastructure, application and security teams to deliver reliable services.
Must-Have Skills✔ Robust hands-on experience administering SAS Viya.




✔ Experience supporting SAS Visual Enterprise Analytics (SAS VEA).
✔ Enterprise SAS Platform Administration.
✔ Linux Server Administration.
✔ Infrastructure Operations and Support.
✔ Incident and Problem Management.
✔ Capacity and Availability Management.
✔ Infrastructure patching, upgrades and maintenance.
✔ Systems Design and Infrastructure Engineering.
✔ Shell scripting, Python or other automation scripting.
✔ Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and documentation skills.
Highly DesirableExperience supporting enterprise analytics platforms.Experience within Australian Government or large enterprise ICT environments.VMware, Kubernetes, Azure or AWS exposure.Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions.Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
