Details:
Are you an allied health professional who enjoys connecting dots, exploring complex challenges and helping shape the future of healthcare?
We are looking for someone who is curious, collaborative and motivated by the opportunity to influence workforce strategy across the ACT health system.
This is a unique role that sits at the intersection of workforce planning, data, digital health and stakeholder engagement, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the future allied health workforce.
In this role, no two days will look the same.
You might spend one day analysing workforce trends, service pressures and emerging challenges, and the next facilitating discussions with clinicians, managers and executives to understand what the data is telling us and how it can inform decision-making.
You won't need to be a statistician or an ICT expert, but you will need to be comfortable working with information, asking insightful questions and bringing people together to solve problems.
We are seeking an allied health professional who enjoys making sense of complexity and translating information into meaningful conversations and practical actions.
You will be skilled at building relationships, engaging stakeholders and working across clinical, operational and strategic environments.
Most importantly, you will be passionate about helping shape a workforce that can meet the health needs of our community now and into the future.
Why Canberra?
In Canberra, you can:
Finish work and be on a mountain bike trail, walking track or lake within minutes.
Enjoy outstanding food, coffee, wine and cultural events.

Get to the coast or the snow for a weekend away.
Build a rewarding career while still having time for a life.
And with hybrid working arrangements, you'll have the flexibility to balance work and life in a way that works for you.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community.
We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, and eligible for registration by the relevant national Board, or eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
Notes:
A merit pool or merit list will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
How to Apply:
Please provide:
A response to the Selection Criteria (outlined in the 'What you Require' section of the Position Description).
A separate response to each of the six criteria, of no more than 300 words each (please see Position Description attached).
A current curriculum vitae.
The contact details of two referees.
Applications should be submitted via the Apply Now button below.
Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.
The ACT public service is committed to closing the gap, underpinned by the belief that when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have a genuine say in the design and delivery of policies, programs and services that affect them, better life outcomes are achieved.
More information can be found here ACT Closing the Gap Implementation Plan - ACT Government Transparency Portal.
