Myndshift Group has been engaged by our client partner, a respected mining contractor leading the restart of a major gold operation in North Queensland.
About the Role
Located approximately 150km south-west of Townsville, the Mt Carlton Gold Mine forms part of Queensland's historic Charters Towers goldfield, one of Australia's most established gold-producing regions.
As operations ramp up under current leadership, the site is entering an exciting new phase of production, creating strong opportunities for experienced tradespeople to be part of its next chapter.
We are seeking experienced
Diesel Fitters
with strong mobile plant experience to join the maintenance team and play a key role in maintaining the site's mobile assets.
This is an opportunity to secure a position on a growing operation as it gains momentum.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on mobile plant




Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently and safely
Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance activities
Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety standards and procedures
Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately
About You:
Trade qualified Cert III Mobile Plant Technology, Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
Proven experience working on mining mobile plant (e.g. CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Ability to work effectively within a team

rotating dayshift/nightshift roster
Buses from TSV or DIDO to Gumlu with site bus transfers to site

permanent employment
