Maintenance Officer
to join the team at
The Beaumont in Swanbourne
.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and values being part of a welcoming community.
You will help ensure the village remains safe, well maintained and comfortable for our residents, staff and visitors.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for a range of general maintenance, cleaning and light gardening duties across the village.
Your responsibilities will include:
Completing minor repairs and general handyman tasks.
Responding to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance.
Maintaining community buildings, common areas, resident apartments, car parks, plant and equipment.
Undertaking light internal gardening and lawn maintenance.
Cleaning designated internal and external areas of the South Wing.
Managing general rubbish, recycling and green waste.
Testing and maintaining the village spa.
Liaising with contractors and service providers when specialist work is required.
Ensuring chemicals and hazardous substances are safely used and stored.
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.




Following safe work practices and complying with Arcadia Group policies and WHS requirements.
Workdays and Hours
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
10:00 am to 3:00 pm
15 hours per week
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in maintenance, handyman or a similar practical role.
The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
A friendly, patient and respectful manner when working with older people.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain simple records.
Strong attention to detail and a positive approach to your work.
A current driver's licence.
Alignment with Arcadia Group's values and commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment.
A relevant trade qualification would be highly regarded but is not essential.
The successful applicant will also be required to provide a current National Police Clearance and undergo a pre-employment medical examination.
