Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced
Wet Fire Designer or Senior Draftsperson
to join our growing in-house design team.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Wet Fire Designer or Senior Draftsperson to play a key role in delivering high-quality fire protection designs across a diverse range of commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and residential projects.
Working closely with our project managers, installation teams and clients, you will be responsible for producing coordinated, compliant and construction-ready documentation using the latest design technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design automatic fire sprinkler, hydrant and associated wet fire systems.
Produce detailed construction documentation using
Revit
, supplemented with
AutoCAD
where required.
Develop, manage and coordinate
3D BIM models
in Revit.
Complete hydraulic calculations.
Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, hydraulic,



mechanical and electrical building services.
Participate in BIM coordination and design meetings.
Prepare shop drawings and as-built documentation.
Ensure designs comply with the NCC and relevant Australian Standards, including AS****, AS**** and AS****.
Provide technical support to project managers and installation teams.
Review consultant documentation and identify practical, cost-effective design and construction solutions.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience as a Wet Fire Designer or Senior Draftsperson within the building services industry.
Advanced experience using
Revit
and
AutoCAD
.
Revit (3D BIM) experience is essential.
Experience coordinating building services within a BIM environment.
Hydraulic calculation experience.
Strong knowledge of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Desirable
FPAS Accreditation.
NSW Design Practitioner registration (Building Services – Fire Safety Systems).
Experience using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software.
Experience delivering Design & Construct projects.
Experience across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and residential developments.
