Lithgow Physiotherapy
New South Wales
Build a career that feels like your own.
At
Lithgow Physiotherapy
, we're looking for an experienced physiotherapist—or someone ready to take the next step—to become the
lead clinician in our established Lithgow practice
.
This is a little different from the typical private practice role.
You'll have genuine autonomy over your clinical work, an established patient and referral base, and the opportunity to become a well-known and trusted physio within the Lithgow community.
You'll work independently day-to-day, but you won't be on your own.
You'll have regular support, mentoring and clinical oversight from an experienced practice owner.
You focus on being a great physio.
We'll support everything around you.
What makes this role different?
We aren't looking for someone to simply fill a diary.
We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership of their clinical work and build something they're proud of.
You'll be trusted to manage your own caseload, develop relationships with local referrers and patients, and shape the way you practise.
There are no layers of management and no need to compete for patients or opportunities within a large clinical team.
You're the lead clinician.
And while you'll have that independence, the systems, administration and business support are already there behind you.
It's an chance to enjoy many of the best parts of private practice—
autonomy, responsibility, strong earning potential and professional recognition—without needing to own the business yourself.
Your day, your patients, your clinical decisions
You'll manage a varied private practice caseload including:
Musculoskeletal conditions
Sports injuries
WorkCover and CTP
DVA
Medicare care plans
Post-operative rehabilitation
Persistent pain
General private patients
We want you thinking clinically, communicating well and doing what's right for the person in front of you.
We value
good outcomes and great patient care over simply chasing numbers.
Who would thrive here?
You don't necessarily need to have "Lead Physiotherapist" on your current job title.
We're more interested in finding the right person.
You might already be a senior physio who's ready for greater independence.
You might be working in a larger clinic and wondering what the next step looks like.
Or perhaps you've considered running your own practice but realised that what you really enjoy is
being a clinician
.
You'll probably suit us if you're someone who:
Enjoys working independently
Takes ownership of their patients and outcomes
Builds genuine relationships with people
Communicates confidently with GPs and other referrers
Values evidence-based, active rehabilitation
Wants to keep developing clinically
Can ask for help when they need it
Takes pride in doing a good job
Autonomy without isolation
Being the lead clinician doesn't mean being left to figure everything out yourself.
You'll have
regular access to the practice owner for clinical discussion, mentoring and support
, while still having the space to develop your own clinical style.
We want someone we can trust—and who feels trusted in return.
And yes, we want you to be well rewarded
Taking on a lead clinical role should come with appropriate recognition.
We offer a
competitive remuneration package with the opportunity to earn an excellent income based on your clinical performance.
We can discuss the structure with the right person and are open to finding an arrangement that rewards someone who wants to make the role their own.
You'll also have:
Career development support
Administrative support
An established clinic and referral network
Flexibility around working arrangements
Regular mentoring and clinical support
Genuine independence in your clinical practice
Why Lithgow?
There's something different about practising physiotherapy in a regional community.
You get to know people.
Patients come back to you.
Families refer their friends.
GPs know who you are.
And over time, you don't just build a caseload—you build a
reputation
.
Outside work, Lithgow offers affordable living, short commutes and easy access to the Blue Mountains, with bushwalking, mountain biking, climbing, camping and plenty of space on your doorstep.
You don't have to own a practice to build something you're proud of.
That's really what this opportunity is about.
Come in, take ownership of the clinical side of an established practice, build a loyal patient following and be rewarded for doing great work.
We'll provide the infrastructure, administration, mentoring and support behind you.
You bring the clinical skills, personality and drive to make the role your own.
If that sounds like the next step you've been looking for, we'd genuinely like to hear from you.
Apply with your CV and a short introduction telling us a little about yourself and what you're looking for in your next role.
