The Opportunity
The Process Manager is responsible for leading the secure, efficient and disciplined operation of the processing function at the Nifty Copper Complex, with a primary focus on current cathode production through heap leach and SX-EW operations.
The role is accountable for plant performance, metallurgical control, production delivery and operational improvement across the processing area.
The Process Manager works closely with mining, maintenance and site leadership teams to ensure stable plant operation, effective coordination of operational priorities, and continuous improvement in recovery, throughput and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Processing Operations Leadership
Lead the day-to-day operation of the heap leach and SX-EW processing areas
Ensure processing activities are conducted safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved operating standards
Be part of the concentrator restart team, lead the operational hazops and designs of the plant supporting the study team and then construction team as refurbishment commences.
Maintain focus on production stability, operational discipline and quality
Support the safe start-up, shutdown and operation of plant and associated process systems
Metallurgical Performance and Process Control
Monitor metallurgical performance, recovery, reagent use and plant efficiency
Identify process issues, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities across the operation
Ensure effective process monitoring, control and optimisation to support copper recovery and production targets
Work with technical personnel and site leadership to implement practical process improvements




Production Delivery
Drive achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets
Ensure processing operations are aligned with site production plans and ore feed requirements
Monitor performance against plan and respond quickly to operational issues affecting output or recovery
Support disciplined operational reporting and shift-to-shift continuity
Team Leadership and Capability
Lead, coach and develop processing personnel to build a capable and accountable team
Promote high standards of safety, housekeeping, operating discipline and teamwork
Ensure team members understand performance expectations and operational priorities
Support workforce capability development and practical on-the-job learning within the processing team
Maintenance and Operational Coordination
Work closely with maintenance teams to support plant reliability and planned maintenance execution
Ensure production and maintenance priorities are effectively coordinated
Contribute to shutdown planning, readiness and execution from a processing perspective
Support cross-functional coordination with mining, maintenance, safety and site administration teams
Safety, Compliance and Continuous Improvement
Promote and maintain strong safety practices across the processing function
Ensure compliance with site procedures, statutory requirements and internal standards
Support incident reporting, investigation and corrective action implementation within the processing area
Drive continuous improvement in plant performance, operating practices and team effectiveness

Achievement of cathode production targets and recovery performance objectives
Solid operational discipline and consistent process control across the plant
Effective coordination between processing, mining and maintenance functions

Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing or related discipline
Demonstrated experience in mineral processing operations leadership within mining or heavy industry
Experience in hydrometallurgical processing environments, preferably including heap leach and SX-EW operations
Strong understanding of process control, plant performance optimisation and operational troubleshooting
Experience leading teams in a site-based operational environment
Experience working closely with maintenance and technical teams to improve plant performance
Skills & Attributes
