Glide, a leading ISO **** certified manufacturer of powered and manual wheelchairs, is seeking an experienced, hands-on
Continuous Improvement Manager
to lead and embed Lean manufacturing across our Wangara operations.
Working closely with our Manufacturing team, you'll lead practical Lean initiatives that strengthen work standards, build supervisor capability, and improve performance.
This role is ideal for someone who can translate Lean principles into simple, sustainable systems that become part of everyday operations.

Key responsibilities
Develop and deliver a practical Continuous Improvement plan aligned with Glide's operational priorities.
Embed Lean manufacturing, standardised work, visual management, and practical daily management routines across production areas.
Lead and sustain 5S workplace organisation: sort, set in order, shine, standardise, and sustain.
Create clear work instructions and visual standards suitable for varied experience and literacy levels.
Establish meaningful performance measures and use production data to focus daily improvement activity.
Coach supervisors and employees in problem-solving, process discipline, teamwork, and accountability, using influence and hands-on leadership to sustain change.
Analyse production information and recurring issues to identify waste, bottlenecks, and root causes, then ensure agreed improvements are completed and sustained.
Support the ongoing effectiveness of Glide's ISO **** quality management system and stronger manufacturing controls.
About you
Demonstrated experience implementing Lean, 5S or Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Sound knowledge of standardised work, visual management, simple performance measures, and root-cause analysis.
A proven ability to move improvement initiatives from concept into sustained day-to-day practice.
A visible, hands-on and approachable style, with strong coaching and influencing skills across all levels of a manufacturing workforce.
The ability to develop clear work instructions and practical systems that are easy to understand and consistently followed.
Confidence using production data, Microsoft Office and ERP or manufacturing systems.
Experience in an ISO **** environment is highly regarded.
Formal Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, manufacturing, engineering, operations, or leadership qualifications are desirable, though substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
