Role Description The PhD Scholar role at Curtin University is a full-time research position based on-site at the Perth, WA campus.
The scholar will conduct original research under academic supervision, including designing studies, collecting and analyzing data, and developing new knowledge in their chosen field.
Day-to-day activities include undertaking literature reviews, drafting research proposals and ethics applications, writing articles and thesis chapters, and presenting findings at seminars, conferences,



and meetings.
The scholar will collaborate with supervisors, peers, and industry or community partners where relevant, and may contribute to teaching, mentoring, or academic service activities as part of their professional development.
QualificationsStrong research aptitude, including the ability to conduct literature reviews, formulate research questions, and apply appropriate research methodologies.Excellent academic writing and communication skills, with the capacity to prepare reports, publications, and presentations for diverse audiences.Analytical and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, evaluate evidence, and draw well-supported conclusions.Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, meet milestones, and manage long-term projects.Master's degree (or equivalent honors/4-year degree) in a relevant discipline and eligibility for admission to Curtin's PhD program.Demonstrated motivation for research, openness to feedback, and commitment to ethical and responsible research practices.Ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural and interdisciplinary environments; prior research or industry experience is an advantage.
