Trinity Lutheran College is a Prep to Year 12 Christian co-educational College on the Gold Coast, where exceptional teaching, authentic relationships and a commitment to helping every student flourish are at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for someone who approaches their work with curiosity and initiative, demonstrates care for the people they support, brings ownership and purpose to solving problems, and enjoys getting beneath complex technical challenges to find reliable, sustainable solutions.
About the role
The ICT Systems Engineer plays a key role in the design, implementation, maintenance and ongoing development of the College's ICT infrastructure.
Working across systems administration, networking, cybersecurity and cloud, while supporting ICT projects, system migrations and major technology rollouts across the College.
This is a role where strong technical capability is important, but what will set you apart is the way you think and solve problems.
We need someone who takes genuine ownership of issues, works through challenges methodically rather than stopping at the first roadblock, and understands that great technology should ultimately make things easier and better for the people using it.
A key aspect of this role is being an escalation point for more complex technical issues and work closely with the ICT Manager to research, evaluate and implement technologies that enhance learning, communication and operational efficiency across the College.
Who we're looking for
You are an experienced ICT professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems and building reliable, secure systems.
You bring a service mindset, communicate well with both technical and non-technical people, and take pride in seeing an issue through from investigation to resolution.
You will demonstrate the ability to:
Design, implement and maintain enterprise-level ICT infrastructure and solutions.
Manage and optimise networks, systems and cloud/on-premises environments.
Apply robust cybersecurity practices and contribute to security monitoring, risk mitigation and disaster recovery.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and act as an escalation point when deeper technical expertise is required.
Contribute to ICT projects, system migrations and major software and hardware implementations.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies and identify practical opportunities to improve the College's digital environment.
Communicate technical concepts clearly and build trusted relationships with staff and stakeholders across the College.
Support and mentor others to strengthen ICT capability across the College.
