PSYCHOLOGIST - Therapy, Assessment & Clinical Specialty Opportunities
Part Time (Min 3+ days or more) or Full Time
At Activ8 Mind, we're looking for a psychologist who enjoys working across a varied caseload but who is also passionate about leveraging their expertise within a specialty area and shaping governance and service delivery, supporting internal capability development, quality assurance initiatives, resource development
Alongside therapy and/or assessment work, you will have the opportunity to become a recognised internal
Champion
AKA; Subject Matter Expert.
This means you will lead through the doing, as well as helping to shape service delivery, mentor colleagues, support quality practice and contribute to future service development.
We are particularly interested in psychologists with a special interest and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Specialty Pathways
Children & Adolescent mental health
(from 5 years)
Psychological & Diagnostic Assessments, this may include
· Psychoeducational assessments
· ADHD, ASD
· Diagnostic assessments
· Vocational assessments
· Fitness for work and return to work assessments
· Medicolegal and compensable assessments
Trauma, PTSD and working with Veterans/ workers & critical incident approaches
· EMDR and other trauma focused approaches
· First responder and workplace trauma
Sleep & Pain Management
· Chronic pain interventions & health psych approaches
· Sleep difficulties and insomnia
· Behavioural sleep interventions

YOU
ESSENTIAL:
· AHPRA REGISTERED - General or Clinical , with min 3 years post registration experience
· Skills/ knowledge of CBT, ACT , mindfulness , motivational interviewing and other leading evidenced based therapies
· Past experience providing 1:1 counselling / therapy
· Demonstrated experience working with adults, children and/or adolescents within one or more clinical practice areas.
· NDIS worker screening check (or eligible), Working with Children Check & National Police Clearance
· Own vehicle
· Able to maintain highly qualified conduct and positive work behaviours especially in the areas of client communication, expectation management and record keeping
· Exceptional written and verbal communication
Desirable
Board Approved Supervisor Registration
· Experience conducting psychological assessments including cognitive, psychoeducational, ADHD, vocational or diagnostic assessments
Advanced training in trauma interventions including EMDR
Experience supporting veterans, first responders or clients with PTSD
Experience in sleep, chronic pain or health psychology interventions
Previous supervision, mentoring or leadership experience
Interest in becoming a Subject Matter Expert and champion for a specialised practice area
