Our industry leading client located in Gepps Cross has an chance for an experienced Fitter & Turner to join their team on day shift, 8:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be required to assess, identify faults, record and repair pumps, electric motors, gearboxes and generators following set procedures, also performing machining tasks as required.
Your duties will include, but not limited to:
Disassemble, assess, and reassemble all sorts of pumps, generators, electric motors and gearboxes
Perform machining tasks using lathe, milling machine and other equipment as required
Assess, identify and record any damage on pump, electric motors, generators or gearboxes
Perform all tests / electrical tests required.
Take photos during dismantling and assembly as per the company standards and procedures and save photos in the appropriate job folder




The ideal candidate has the following:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in mechanical fitting in an industrial/workshop environment
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in machining using manual lathe & milling machine
Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as, micrometres
Tradesman's certificate in related industry or relevant work experience
Forklift license (or willing to obtain one)
Knowledge and experience in fitting and repairs of motors, pumps, gearboxes and generators repairs preferred
Be available for overtime when required
