At the centre of the region is Biloela Hospital, a 25-bed facility providing emergency, maternity, midwifery, medical, surgical and outpatient services to Biloela and surrounding communities.
With a major infrastructure rebuild, including its operating theatre, the hospital is strengthening its role as the Banana region's hub for emergency, maternity, diagnostic and surgical care.
About the role:
Lead rural generalist care in Biloela,
providing high-quality medical services with a focus on obstetrics and gynaecology across Biloela Hospital and the Midwifery Group Practice.
Shape clinical governance and patient safety, driving quality improvement, clinical audit, incident management, research and service planning to continually strengthen care.
Support and develop the next generation of clinicians, providing education, supervision and mentoring to doctors-in-training, medical students, midwives, nurses and other health professionals.
Be a clinical leader and advocate for the community, collaborating with visiting specialists and multidisciplinary teams while providing care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency and community settings.
About you:
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Commitment to improving standards and quality of health care and patient safety within the hospital and community.
Competence and capability in primary rural medical practice (particularly hospital-based practice) and in one advanced rural skill (Anaesthesia preferred).
Experience in education and training of medical staff and/or medical students.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $108,769 p.a. is comprised of:
A salary rate between $44,412 - $53,110 p.a. (L18 - L25)
A salary rate between $38,451 - $44,412 p.a. (L13 – L18)
A salary rate between $38,451 - $39,655 p.a. (L13 – L14)
*****% employer superannuation contribution
17.5% leave loading
