About the role
Grand Medical Smithfield (Formerly GP Axis) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated
Registered Nurse
to join our healthcare team in Smithfield, SA ****.
This is a
full-time position
that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and nursing services to our patients.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be at the forefront of patient care, working within our medical centre to provide clinical support, health assessments, care plans, immunisations, iron infusions, and wound care .
This role is essential to maintaining the standard of care our patients expect and deserve.
Key responsibilities
Delivering direct patient care to patients, including assessment, monitoring and evaluation of health conditions
Performing routine and complex nursing procedures and clinical assessments
Collaborating with general practitioners and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans
Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining comprehensive health records in compliance with regulatory requirements
Providing emotional support and health education to patients
Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for patient care
Participating in team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement of care delivery
Adhering to all health and safety standards, infection control procedures and duty of care obligations
What we're looking for
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
A relevant nursing qualification recognised in Australia
Strong clinical knowledge and competency in nursing assessment and care delivery
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families and healthcare team members
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment




Proficiency in electronic health record systems and computer literacy
A commitment to maintaining professional standards, confidentiality and ethical practice
Current First Aid and CPR certification
A genuine passion for providing patient-centred care and improving health outcomes
