About the Role
Douglas Shire Council is seeking a Corporate Performance and Projects Officer to join the Governance team.
This position will contribute to the effective delivery of
Council's strategic, operational and corporate objectives by providing
coordinated support across corporate performance reporting, project governance,
and continuous improvement activities.
Position Objectives
Support the planning, monitoring,
analysis and reporting of organisational performance, deliver practical project
coordination support across corporate initiatives, and contribute to
strengthening governance, reporting discipline and evidence-based
decision-making across the organisation.
Work
collaboratively across business units to support the delivery of Council's
Corporate Plan, Annual Operational Plan and key corporate projects, ensuring
information is accurate, timely, well‐governed and aligned to legislative,
audit and best practice requirements.

About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
Formal qualifications in areas such as business
administration, public administration, project support, performance reporting,
data analysis or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in corporate reporting,
performance monitoring, data analysis or project support functions within a
complex organisation, preferably a local government environment.
Current Queensland driver's licence.




Well‐developed analytical skills, including the
ability to collect, validate, interpret and present quantitative and
qualitative information to support decision‐making.
Experience preparing clear, accurate and well‐structured reports, dashboards, briefings or performance documentation for internal and external audiences.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to present information effectively.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data, performance results and project information in plain language.
Demonstrated ability to build effective working
relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple business areas.
Proven ability to work collaboratively as part
of a team and contribute positively to shared objectives.
Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail
and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional standards.
