Are you passionate about communications, highly organised, and looking to make an impact in your community?
The Coolum Beach Surf Lifesaving Club is seeking a proactive, creative Administrator to join our team full‐time.
In this diverse role, you'll support a wide range of club activities — from member engagement and community programs to lifesaving operations, nippers, surf sports, events and general administration.
You'll be a central point of coordination across the organisation, helping to keep our systems running smoothly, strengthening communication, and ensuring our volunteers, members, and community feel supported and connected.

For over 100 years, Coolum Beach Surf Lifesaving Club has proudly protected our beaches and supported the Sunshine Coast community.
We are a not-for-profit organisation devoted to lifesaving, water safety education, surf sports, and fostering connection among our members and volunteers.
Our club is a hub of activity year-round, with patrols, training, surf sports, and community programs that make a real difference.
About the Role
This is a
full time position Monday to Friday,
with occasional out‐of‐hours meetings or events aligned to club operations.
The role is highly task‐focused, deadline‐driven, and operational in nature.
We are seeking someone who can confidently manage a steady workflow and get tasks completed efficiently and accurately in a busy, volunteer‐led environment.
The club operates at a fast pace, particularly during peak periods of the season,
and priorities can change quickly.
Success in this role relies on being practical, organised, resilient, and comfortable working within established ways of operating while supporting ongoing operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Member Support & Administration
• Assist with welcoming new members, helping them through required checks, and maintaining accurate member records.
• Respond to general enquiries and provide helpful, timely support to members and families.
Program & Activity Support
• Provide administrative support for the club's programs (e.g., youth programs, training groups, volunteer teams).
• Assist with sign‐on processes, attendance tracking, communication to groups, and coordinating helpers/volunteers.
Event & Activity Coordination
• Support registrations for club activities, events, and competitions.
• Liaise with external organisations and help coordinate schedules, lists, and communication for participants.
General Office Administration
• Manage the inbox, prepare documents, maintain files and templates, take meeting notes, and assist with day‐to‐day office functions.
Basic Finance Support
• Assist with simple finance tasks such as receipting, raising purchase orders, handling small cash items, and communicating with suppliers.
Communication & Digital Support
• Update website sections, prepare social media posts and newsletters using club templates, and help share information with members.
• Support development of consistent and clear communication across the club.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Tech-savvy and confident using systems, digital tools, and emerging technologies
Creative with excellent written and visual communication skills
Highly organised, with strong time management and attention to detail
Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused, with the ability to take initiative and deliver results
Knowledge of or interest in surf lifesaving, sport, or community organisations is desirable
Must have a Blue Card or ability to obtain
