About the Chance
We have an exciting permanent fulltime opportunity available for a Supervisor Regional Networks to join our SA Operations team, however this role is based in Alice Springs.
Reporting directly to the Manager Operations SA, you will be responsible for ensuring the Alice Springs Network, the Palm Valley Pipeline and other AGN assets are maintained safely and efficiently, as well as be the initial point of contact for the region on AGIG assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with AS/NZ/ISO standards, legislative, OH&S;, environmental, and other regulatory and industry safety requirements in the design, application, and management of facilities and pipelines
Perform Pipeline patrols and other preventative maintenance work as per the schedule, as well as monitor and report on network and asset performance, and audit the maintenance and installation of service connections, meter work and other network related activities




Provide customer service for the customers and potential customers within the Alice Springs Network and other AGIG assets within the area
Review and comment back to Managers on the local community issues that will or may affect the operation of the Network or Pipelines owned and managed by AGIG
Provide technical input to Audits and Major projects as required for the region and offer expert support to Service Provider engineering teams and internal teams
Supervise and mentor other internal employees when required, manage local contractor performance, conduct training and coordinate training for the contractors
Ensure targets are met, identify and manage risks, and ensure all activities are conducted in the best interests of AGIG and the community
About You
Effective leader who can manage, mentor and motivate employees
Strong stakeholder management skills, including leading and negotiating with contractors and other service providers
Extensive industry knowledge and experience in management of gas transmission and distribution assets with technical expertise and knowledge of gas pressure control, gas transmission pipelines, metering systems and SCADA
Knowledge of current design standards and technical developments in gas network materials, processes and procedures
Working knowledge of IT systems used for gas network maintenance planning
Understanding of the regulatory environment both technical and economic
Ability to review costs and maintain an efficient operation in refurbishment of metres
