BFS Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team, working on a variety of commercial and industrial projects throughout Western Australia.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of
5 years' experience in the fire protection industry, with proven experience installing, programming, commissioning and maintaining fire detection and alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Installation of Fire Detection and alarm systems on commercial and industrial projects.
Programming, commissioning and testing of fire detection and emergency wanting systems.
Installation, networking and programming of a variety of fire detection systems, including VESDA.
Fault finding, diagnosis and rectification of fire system faults.
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and fire system layouts.
Liaising with the clients, project managers and other trades to ensure to projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
Completing commissioning documentation, test reports and project handover documentation.
Working on existing fire protection systems within operational buildings.




Conducting routine maintenance of Fire Alarm systems and firefighting equipment as per Australian Standards.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Current Open Cabling licence registration and/or unrestricted "A" Class electrical licence.
Demonstrated experience installing fire detection and alarm systems (essential).
Proven experience programming fire alarm systems from leaking manufacturers such as Honeywell, Ampac.
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards including AS******, AS**** and other relevant Fire protection installation standards
Current White Card
Current Australian Drivers Licence
EWP and Working at heights tickets (preferred)
Excellent Fault-Finding and troubleshooting skills.
Min 5 years' experience in the Fire Protection Industry
Excellent communication skills and the ability to working independently and as part of a team.
