We're currently seeking an Estimator Assistant to join our growing team in Launceston.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into the construction industry and develop a long-term career in estimating.
Due to strong demand and increasing workloads, this role plays a critical part in supporting our estimating team to meet customer deadlines and maintain service excellence.
This is a Full-Time, Monday to Friday position (Part-Time considered for the right applicant).
In this role, you will support the estimating team with administration, data entry, and foundational estimating tasks while learning the construction process from the ground up.
This is an entry-level opportunity with structured development, designed to grow into a fully qualified Estimator role.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the estimating team with administration and data entryAssisting with the preparation of quotes and documentationSourcing material information and identifying suitable alternativesReviewing construction documents and plansMaintaining accurate records and ensuring high attention to detailAssisting the team to meet customer deadlines and service expectationsBuilding knowledge of construction processes, materials, and systems
What We're Looking For Key Skills & Experience
Interest or exposure to construction, building, or trade environmentsStrong numeracy skills with the ability to apply maths in practical scenariosExceptional attention to detail and organisational skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills and a proactive attitude
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Confidence working with data, spreadsheets, and documentationAbility to interpret or learn construction plans and documents

Estimator Assistant (6–12 months) Focus on administration, data entry, and learning the fundamentals of estimating and construction
