RAAFA is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic
Kitchenhand
to join our Food & Beverage team at the vibrant
RAAFA Club
located within Air Force Memorial Estate in Meadow Springs.
Working approximately
30 hours per fortnight
, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team in a busy hospitality environment while providing excellent service to our residents, members and guests.
Hours of work may include:
Monday: 6:30am - 2:30pm
Tuesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Wednesday: 11:00am - 7:00pm
Friday: 6:30am - 2:30pm
(Some flexibility may be required based on operational needs.)
The role and you:
Wash and clean utensils and dishes and ensuring appropriate storage
Handle, sort, store and distribute food items
Wash, peel, chop, cut and cook food stuffs and assist with preparing salads and desserts
Sort and dispose of rubbish and recycling
Organise laundering of kitchen linen
Cleaning of all food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools and areas
Delivering food to the Lodge at meal times
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision and to work under pressure
Ability Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team setting
Commitment to continuous improvement principles




Knowledge of Food Hygiene regulations
Current training in Food Safe Programs

What you need to do:
Have a valid "C" Class (Manual) Drivers Licence;
Update your resume;
Be eligible to work in Australia;
Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one;
Be up to date with your COVID 19 and flu vaccinations;
