Overview-The planning, designing, creation, amending, verification, testing and documentation of new and amended software components in order to deliver agreed value to stakeholders.
The identification,creation and application of agreed software development and security standards and processes.
Adopting and adapting software development lifecycle models based on the context of the work and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
Level 4 Years of experience: ********* Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors complex programs, scripts and integration services, including troubleshooting defects, fixing production issues, and responding to build and deployment failures.Contributes to the selection of the software development approach for projects, applying either predictive or adaptive methods as appropriate.Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve well-engineered outcomes, while resolving code, integration, and environment issues encountered during development and testing.Participates in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work, identifying defects, improving code quality and addressing recurring technical issues.Supports releases by diagnosing and resolving application issues, implementing fixes and coordinating with DevOps and testing teams as needed.




Level 3 Years of experience: ********* Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors moderately complex programs and scripts, including troubleshooting defects, fixing bugs and addressing build and runtime issues.
Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve well-engineered results, resolving code, integration, and environment-related issues encountered during development and testing.
Conducts unit and integration testing, investigates test failures and implements fixes.Supports deployments by resolving minor release issues and assisting with rollback activities where required.
Collaborates in reviews of work with others as appropriate, identifying defects, improving code quality and resolving issues raised during peer review.
Level 2 Years of experience: ********* Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors easy programs and scripts, following defined procedures and addressing basic coding and build issues using documented guidance.Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result, performing simple debugging, fixing straightforward defects, and resolving minor test failures.
Conducts basic testing, records results, and reruns tests after fixes.Assists with deployments by following runbooks and resolving simple issues where possible.
Reviews own work to identify and correct errors before submission and escalates issues that cannot be resolved independently.
