THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a rare opportunity, to join our expanding team and the uniquely flexible business model that we operate under.
We are looking for an experienced senior human resources professional with strong Employee Relations and Industrial Relations experience and a valuable understanding of employment law.
This role will be reporting to the People and Capability Manager to support our team and our highly valued Clients in all aspects of human resources,
employee and industrial workplace relations.
Our team operates in a "remotely, together" model, working primarily from home while also attending client offices and in‐person meetings as required.
This role is well suited to someone seeking flexibility in both hours and days of work and who is comfortable working remotely.
We actively promote a healthy work-life balance and are open to discussing part‐time arrangements.
You will be responsible for:
Advising and supporting clients in managing Industrial Relations matters, such as EA negotiations, drafting and lodgements, BOOT assessments, third party negotiations and EA interpretations.
Interpretation and advice re modern awards, legislation, employment contracts and policies.
Advising and supporting clients in managing their human resources needs, complex employee relations matters, such as grievance management, policy breaches and termination proceedings.
Supporting the team in the day-to-day people, culture and organisational capability activities and other major projects.
Drafting employee correspondence for clients.
Providing clients advice and support in dealing with under-performance and facilitating performance improvement plans.
Drafting employment contracts and policies and procedures using well established templates.
Facilitating bespoke culture and engagement reviews.
Providing advice to clients on remuneration frameworks.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Along with an energetic 'can do' and pro-active attitude, you will also have the following:
Extensive HR experience with proven capability in Employee and Industrial Relations.
A Bachelor of Commerce qualification/Employment Law/Human Resources, or equivalent (highly desirable).
Proven experience interpreting the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, EA's Company Policy, and Employment Contracts.
A strong understanding of the Industrial Relations framework and newly revised Better Pay, Secure Jobs legislation.
Excellent relationship management and communication skills, including negotiation skills.
Ability to operate independently in flexible work environments including remote and client offices / sites.
Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and proactive engagement with our team and clients.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Approachable, honest, values driven, trustworthy and a team player.
Ability to travel to client sites on occasion (desirable).
