Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Barber to join our professional team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

The successful applicant will provide a full range of professional barbering services while maintaining the high standards of customer service and workmanship that Ironbark Barber Co. is known for.

Key Responsibilities

1. Consult with clients to determine suitable hairstyles and grooming requirements.
2. Perform precision men's haircuts using scissors, clippers and razors, including skin fades, tapers, classic and contemporary styles.
3. Shape, trim and style beards and moustaches using professional barbering techniques.
4. Provide razor shaves, beard sculpting and facial grooming services.
5. Shampoo, condition and prepare hair before cutting or styling where required.
6. Recommend suitable haircare, beard care and styling products based on individual client needs.
7. Maintain high standards of hygiene by cleaning and sanitising tools, equipment and workstations in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
8. Manage client appointments and assist with point-of-sale transactions when required.

Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
10. Contribute to maintaining a professional, welcoming and team-oriented workplace.
11. Assist with promoting the business through social media content and marketing initiatives where appropriate.
12. Keep up to date with current barbering trends, techniques and products through ongoing professional development.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:

1. AQF Certificate III in Hairdressing or an equivalent qualification; or
2. At least three years of relevant full-time barbering experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
3. Demonstrated experience performing contemporary and traditional men's barbering services.
4. Strong clipper, scissor and razor cutting skills.
5. Experience with beard trimming, shaping and grooming.
6. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
7. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
8. Ability to work efficiently in a busy, rapid-paced environment.
9. Basic social media and digital marketing skills will be highly regarded.
10. Full Australian working rights.
