Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking an experienced ED SMO or ED Registrar to provide night shift in-charge cover at a regional hospital.
This role is suited to a PGY6+ doctor with strong Emergency Medicine experience who is confident managing ED presentations overnight, supporting patient flow, making clinical decisions and escalating care appropriately when required.
Clinical Environment:
Emergency Department night shift cover
In-charge role within a regional hospital setting
Suitable for experienced PGY6+ ED Medical Officers or ED Registrars
Supportive hospital environment with escalation pathways available
Key Duties:
Provide ED night shift in-charge cover
Assess and manage emergency presentations
Support clinical decision-making and patient flow
Complete documentation and handover
Escalate care appropriately when required
Eligibility Criteria:
Current AHPRA Registration
PGY6+ with recent Emergency Medicine experience
ED SMO or ED Registrar-level experience
Solid clinical judgement and communication skills
Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately
Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
