Join York Health Service in a diverse leadership position that spans Hospital, Residential Aged Care and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) services. This unique prospect offers the chance to combine advanced clinical practice, leadership and service improvement while supporting healthcare delivery across an integrated rural health service.
This is for a permanent part time position of 68.40 hours per fortnight.
Position Profile: Responsible for the quality of patient care and standard of practice within York Health Service. This incorporates all areas of the MPS including ED, Ambulatory Care, Acute inpatients, residential, Pioneer Memorial Lodge, Community and Outpatients. Acts as a role model for all staff in assessing, planning, implementing, directing and evaluating the care.
Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Our core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to country WA residents and visitors.
Suitability Criteria:
Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements. The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:
1. Demonstrated advanced clinical nursing expertise and the ability to deliver high-quality patient-centred care across Hospital, Residential Aged Care and community-based services.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate and support multidisciplinary teams across multiple service streams to achieve safe, effective and person-centred outcomes.
3. Demonstrated ability to effectively balance advanced clinical practice responsibilities with management, coordination and administrative functions, including workforce, service and resource management across Hospital, Residential Aged Care and CHSP programs.
4. Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement, accreditation and the continuous enhancement of health service delivery.
5. Knowledge of legislative, policy and regulatory requirements to ensure safe,
equitable and compliant service delivery.
