The Bays Aged Care is proudly part of the Apollo Care Alliance, an innovative national organisation with a unique vision to support not-for-profit aged care communities located just over one hour drive from Melbourne city in the beautiful seaside town of Hastings. The Bays Aged Care is a 90-bed facility where we pride ourselves on creating a friendly, caring environment in which residents feel safe and supported. The Role

As the Lifestyle Team Leader at The Bays, you’ll lead and support a passionate lifestyle team to create meaningful, engaging and personalised experiences for our residents. You’ll inspire your team to deliver programs that reflect each resident’s interests, preferences and care plan, while promoting connection, wellbeing, independence and a strong sense of community.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, working 76 hours per fortnight, offering you the opportunity to lead a dedicated team and make a genuine difference in the lives of our residents every day.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage a monthly calendar of group activities tailored to residents’ needs and preferences
- Identify and nurture residents’ individual talents, hobbies, and lifestyle preferences
- Oversee the implementation of leisure and lifestyle activities, ensuring they meet the mental, physical, spiritual, psychological, and emotional needs of residents
- Collaborate with the care team to support residents’ care plans and report any changes in resident care to the registered nurse in charge
- Foster an inclusive and flexible approach to service provision, ensuring resident safety and wishes are prioritised




- Support and mentor recent Lifestyle Officers, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment
- Ensure all activities comply with the Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational policies

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Lifestyle Officer in an aged care setting
- Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or similar)
- Current NDIS Worker Check (or willing to obtain)
- Robust leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Creative and flexible in designing and implementing activities
- Commitment to resident-centred care and enhancing quality of life
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
