About the role
PERSOL Staffing is seeking Real-Time Network Management Operators to join a well-established Queensland Government department.
This is an ongoing opportunity for reliable, flexible and resilient people who enjoy working in a rapid-paced, team environment.
- Start date: 14 September 2026
- Roster: Flexible 24/7 rotating roster
- Hours: Minimum 15 hours per week / approximately 2-3 shifts
- Rate: $51.13/hr + super + penalties
- Extra shifts: Opportunities available
Key responsibilities
As an Operator - Real-Time Network Management, you will:
- Monitor real-time operations of the state-controlled road network.
- Respond to road incidents, disruptions and operational issues.
- Provide accurate real-time information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Escalate incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Liaise with stakeholders and service providers during planned and unplanned incidents.
- Monitor changing traffic and network conditions.
- Process a high volume of telephone enquiries.
- Accurately record information in the Incident Management System.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse operational team.
About you
We are looking for people who are reliable, flexible and resilient, and who can remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
To be successful, you will have:
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.
- Availability for 2-3 shifts per week, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours.
- A willingness to pick up additional shifts when available.
- Strong reliability and attendance.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple situations at once.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- A team-focused attitude and ability to work effectively with others.
- The ability to follow procedures,
policies and directions.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Well-developed computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Resilience and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Training commitment
You must be available to complete:
- 20 weekdays of classroom training, commencing 14 September 2026 (excluding the Queensland public holiday on 5 October).
- 4 weeks of supervised shadow shifts, Monday-Friday, with 3 shifts per week, including at least 1 morning and 1 afternoon shift.
Following training, you will transition into the 24/7 roster, with additional shifts available.
Mandatory requirements
- Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week.
- Flexibility to work 2-3 shifts per week.
- Willingness to pick up additional shifts where available.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- Ability to successfully complete a criminal history check.
