My Dream Cake is one of Australia's leading cake decorating and baking supply retailers. We're a growing, energetic business where there's always something happening - new products arriving, displays changing, online orders heading out the door and customers looking for inspiration for their next creation.

We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on person who enjoys a challenge, takes pride in their work, and loves getting things done.

This is a 2IC to work alongside one of our store managers. This is a second in charge role across the whole store, the shop floor and the stock room.

- Availability required between Monday to Saturday 9am - 6pm

- Open and close the store, including end of day register close, cash handling and lock-up

What you'll be doing

- Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service in store, over the phone and by email

- Opening and closing the store, running the registers and handling cash, including end-of-day close

- Receiving and checking off deliveries on delivery days, and getting stock to the floor

- Assisting with stocktakes,



inventory management and stock ordering

- Picking, packing and processing online orders

- Keeping the store organised, well stocked and looking its best, including product displays and merchandising

- Taking ownership of day to day tasks and jumping in wherever needed

About you

Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in a similar role, strong attention to detail and the confidence to work independently. You’ll enjoy working in a busy setting, taking ownership and being part of a team where everyone gets involved.

A genuine interest in cake decorating, baking or dessert making helps - you'll be surrounded by it all day and our customers love talking about their projects. Experience with it is a bonus, not a requirement.
