About The Company
Queensland Government Air (QGAir) forms part of the Queensland Police Service Aviation Capability Group, providing rotary and fixed wing government aviation services in support of the QPS and partner agencies.
About The Role
QGAir is seeking Aircrew Officers to join its rotary wing team in Townsville, assisting pilots with aeromedical, search and rescue, emergency and counter-disaster operations, including primary rescues, interhospital transfers and counter-disaster work.
Essential Requirements
- Dangerous Goods Awareness Training
- Crew Resource Management / Human Factors Training
- Minimum 100 hours logged NVIS aircrew member experience
- CASA Aviation Class 2 Medical Certificate
- Winch Endorsement from an approved Training and Checking Organisation
- AVI40225 Certificate IV in Airborne Operations (or equivalent), including winching, non-pilot cockpit duties, NVIS and helicopter landing site operations
- Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate, Level 6 English Language Proficiency
Desirable
- AW139 type endorsement with relevant experience
- IFR Aircrew Officer Front Left Hand Seat (FLHS) experience
- HUET and Emergency Breathing Systems (EBS) training
- SAR/EMS experience on AW139
