Odyssey House NSW’s trauma-informed services set us apart as a leader in the support service space for alcohol and other drugs dependency. Our teams help clients to meet their goals and address underlying trauma and mental health issues, while also developing new skills to improve all aspects of their lives.
We provide a diverse range of services to individuals, families and community education. Our services include withdrawal services; one-on-one assessment and treatment by psychologists and counsellors; group therapy; residential rehabilitation; and free education at Odyssey College.

- We're seeking an AOD Treatment Worker to deliver specialised treatment and support
- Comprehensive and brief assessment, one-to-one treatment, care planning and case management
- Group facilitation through face to face and online delivery
- Care coordination and appropriate referral, working with external services and providers
- Support clients in crisis through specialised assistance
- Works collaboratively across our programs and teams
- Works across the Sydney North region (Hornsby, Northern Beaches and Ryde) as the service grows
- Adaptable, multi-site work across Sydney North
- Relevant VET or tertiary qualification in a related field
- Significant experience supporting people with AOD, mental health and/or co-occurring needs
- Experience in group facilitation, one-to-one support, and brief and comprehensive assessment
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment, harm minimisation and care coordination
- Computer literacy and strong case note and report writing skills
- Emotional resilience and the ability to stay calm while supporting clients in high emotion situations
- Current NSW Driver Licence
- WWCC (for paid work)
- National Police Check (>1 yr old)
- Unrestricted right to work in Australia
- COVID Vaccinated
