Project Engineer - Mining & Metals

What you'll do

As a Project Engineer for our Mining & Metals division, based in our Gladstone office, you'll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.

- Coordinate the delivery of multiple small-to-medium engineering projects and work packages across the Gladstone portfolio.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, piping, electrical and structural) to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Lead project planning activities, including proposals, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting and task coordination.
- Maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders, while providing regular project updates and reporting.
- Oversee engineering deliverables to ensure technical quality, safety, environmental compliance and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Identify and manage project risks, resolve technical and site-based issues and support the development of local capability and team leadership within the Gladstone region.

What you'll bring

- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with exposure to mechanical/piping and electrical projects across mining, oil and gas or broader industrial sectors.
- Current RPEQ registration or actively working towards obtaining.





- 10+ years' engineering experience, with the capability to operate at a senior project delivery level.
- Solid project delivery and management skills, including coordinating multidisciplinary teams, schedules, budgets, deliverables and client expectations.
- Solid engineering foundation combined with practical problem-solving, risk management and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with a hands-on and adaptable approach to working in a regional client environment.
