XXL Constructions is a commercial and industrial builder based in Brisbane, Queensland. We hold an QBCC Open Class Licence and specialise in delivering concept-to-completion design-and-construction solutions for residential, warehouses, industrial buildings, school facilities, agricultural structures, and bespoke commercial projects across Queensland and beyond.

Epoxia is a part of XXL Constructions, and we are actively seeking an experienced Epoxy Applicator to join our team. Epoxy and resin flooring is the priority skill and the reason we're hiring. Between coating jobs, you'll be on our commercial sites doing general construction and labouring work.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end management of epoxy application projects for residential and commercial clients:

- Prep work including diamond grinding, chasing out cracks, filling joints

- Moisture testing the slab and flagging it if the readings aren't where they need to be

- Priming and patching, then running self-leveller with notched squeegee and spiked roller

- Broadcasting flake or quartz to refusal, then scraping and vacuuming back once it's cured

- Seal and topcoats,



epoxy, PU and polyaspartic, with non-slip where the spec calls for it

- Coving, skirtings, edges and cut-ins

- Mixing to ratio and working to pot life, watching temps and humidity on site

- Containment, extraction and site clean at the end of each shift

General construction:

- Site labouring on our commercial and industrial projects

- Materials handling, set-out support, housekeeping

- Assisting trades across the build program

Key skills and experience

Essential

- 1–3 years hands-on epoxy or resin flooring experience

- Confident across the full process: prep, prime, self-level, broadcast, topcoat

- General construction or labouring experience

- White Card

- Current driver's licence

- An eye for finish quality

Nice to have

- Cert III in Flooring Technology

- QBCC hard flooring licence

- Silica awareness training

- EWP, forklift or other tickets

- Manufacturer training — Sika, Flowcrete, MAPEI or similar

- Basic computer skills
