About the role

JMG Heavy Auto Repairs Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Coffs Harbour, NSW. you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of a range of heavy commercial vehicles and machinery.

What you'll be doing

- Diagnose and repair issues with heavy diesel engines, transmissions, diff, and other components

- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles and equipment

- Perform electrical repairs and diagnostics

- Use specialized tools and equipment to effectively complete repairs

- Maintain detailed records of work completed

- Ensure all work meets the highest safety and quality standards

What we're looking for

- Formal qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a related automotive trade

- Certificate III Heavy Commercial Vehicle qualification is required

- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the commercial vehicle or construction equipment industry

- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills





- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Good communication and customer service skills

- Commitment to workplace health and safety

- HR license recommended
